Minor dmesg errors

Hi,
I'm on a fully updated Arch_X86-64/KDE system, systremd converted, running on a  6-core AMD Athalon CPU.

How can I fix the following 2 dmesg errors?

Thanks

dmesg |grep failed
[ 0.401623] pci0000:00: ACPI _OSC support notification failed, disabling PCIe ASPM
[ 6.056401] microcode: failed to load file amd-ucode/microcode_amd.bin

miki ~ $ uname -a
Linux Miki_Arch 3.6.5-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Oct 31 20:57:39 CET 2012 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Re: Minor dmesg errors

No idea about the first one, it may not even be an error, but a message the machine isn't capable of ASPM.

The second one, not an error either, your machine will not blow up without a microcode update. But if you're one of those "must get rid of all errors" OCD types smile, install amd-ucode.

Re: Minor dmesg errors

Thanks, but the second error appeaser with amd-ucode already installed- see below.
Ideas?

# pacman -S amd-ucode
warning: amd-ucode-2012.09.10-1 is up to date -- reinstalling

Nonetheless, I've re-installed.

That's the way pacman works. When you sync a package, it will get the latest version and install it. No matter if you already have it or not. So, the warning is just packman telling you you already had it.. (but of course, it could have been broken and reinstalling it fixed it..)

edit: Just realised that your were talking about the error from dmesg, and not the warning from pacman.. :-)
