After a lot of updates the other day, that changed a lot, I also got a problem with 'thumbnails' in Nautilus Elementary on video, documents and photo. I tested it by delete '~/.thumbnails', and I can see that all the thumbnails are still being made in ~/.thumbnails/normal/ but not shown in Nautilus. There is instead a loading icon on all file there should have a thumbnails!
The problem look similar to this one some months ago:
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=148063
But I can not use the solution from there, because I don't have any package from 'gnome-unstable'
So does anyone have an idea, have to solve this problem?
EDIT:
Solved by making this link:
ln -s ~/.thumbnails ~/.cache/thumbnails

I don't think it's the same problem, because on you screenshot it look like it fails to create a thumbnail on videos. Have you looked at ~/.thumbnails/fail ?
With me it is like in this thread: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=148063 all thumbnails is created, but each file showing a loading icon!
You do not get a loading icon, probably because you have a problem with the program/codecs there should creating you video thumbnails!
Check your setup in 'gconf-editor' > desktop > gnome > thumbnailers

Thank you for this message in the other thread:
Thumbnails are now stored in ~/.cache/thumbnails
That solved my problem!
