After upgrade linux-3.5 -> linux-3.6: System freezes after bootup

When the system is booted up into X11, the screen stays black, and the display OSD says: "no signal".
As the num-key does not toggle the LED anymore, the system is freezed.

When I boot into init3, the system boots up and displays the login prompt. I can even type a few characters (if I'm fast).
One second later, it freezes.

When I boot with init=/bin/bash, the system boots up, gives me the bash prompt, and freezes after one second.

When I boot with acpi=off, the system boots up correctly into X11 and works basicly,
but it doesn't perform properly - eg scrolling in the webbrowser or moving a window is too slow.
Also in this case, the Fan is running with 100%.

My CPU: AMD Phenon X4
My GFX: AMD - I'm using catalyst-daemon.

Re: After upgrade linux-3.5 -> linux-3.6: System freezes after bootup

I fixed it this way:

- I removed the catalyst-repo from pacman.conf
- I upgraded catalyst-utils to the pkg from the community repo
- I removed catalyst-daemon
- I installed the community/catalyst-dkms package
