Cannot install Picasa [SOLVED]

I have downloaded and untarred the tarball of picasa from AUR. On running the command 'makepkg -s' the output is as follows:

$ makepkg -s
==> Making package: picasa 3.0_5744.02-6 (Wed Nov  7 10:36:14 UTC 2012)
==> Checking runtime dependencies...
==> Checking buildtime dependencies...
==> Retrieving Sources...
  -> Downloading picasa-3.0-current.i386.rpm...
  % Total % Received % Xferd Average Speed Time Time Time Current
                                 Dload Upload Total Spent Left Speed
  0     0    0     0    0     0      0      0 --:--:--  0:00:40 --:--:--     0^C
==> ERROR: Aborted by user! Exiting...

It gets stuck at 'Retrieving sources..' stage- it is not able to download the required files. I have tried this over last 3 days but I am not successful. Please help.

Re: Cannot install Picasa [SOLVED]

Check your internet connection. Is the URL in the 'source' line in the PKGBUILD correct?

Re: Cannot install Picasa [SOLVED]

I checked the source URL and it is ftp which my iptables firewall is stopping. I checked on how to open iptables for ftp. But I do not know if this connection is a "passive ftp" or an "active ftp"?
