[SOLVED] icon themes not changing

Hey all,

Been out of the Arch game for a couple months, glad I'm back.  Just did a fresh install this weekend, from the latest ISO download.  Had to learn the systemd way of things, but not that bad of an install.  I installed gnome and cinnamon, but am running cinnamon, and I tried every trick I've found to change the icon themes, but they are not changing.

I downloaded some icon themes from gnomelook and extracted them into the correct directory, even tried ~/.icons but that didn't work.

My icon themes show up in the list, but the icon themes don't actually change.

I'm not even sure my themes are changing properly either.

anyway to test/fix this?

EDIT: A re-install solved everything.

Re: [SOLVED] icon themes not changing

Hello,

Did you try with gnome-tweak-tool ? (you can install it from the "extra" repository).

Re: [SOLVED] icon themes not changing

@supersnail,

Thanx for replying, yes, I tried the gnome-tweak-tool and that allows me to change the icon theme, and all the themes in my directory are showing up in the list. However, when I make my selection via the dropdown, the theme change is not reflected in the system.
