Hello everyone.
I can actually mount normal data cdroms. But KAudioCreator throws a strange bug on opening:
CDROM read or access error (or no audio disk in drive)
Please make sure you have access permissions to:
/dev/cdrom
I also can't mount the audio cd when it's in drive. Just have this problem with any drive containing audio tracks.
A usual iso9660 disk i could mount without any problems
In /var/log/messages i can read the following:
Sep 24 01:18:03 ggpc hdb: command error: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error }
Sep 24 01:18:03 ggpc hdb: command error: error=0x54 { AbortedCommand LastFailedSense=0x05 }
Sep 24 01:18:03 ggpc ide: failed opcode was: unknown
Sep 24 01:18:03 ggpc end_request: I/O error, dev hdb, sector 192
Sep 24 01:20:17 ggpc UDF-fs: No VRS found
I can ensure you.. the tracks are there ^^.

do you have dbus running? Install it and add it to the DAEMONS() list in rc.conf. you can start it by doing /etc/rc.d/dbus start
Offline
Audio CDs cannot be mounted. You just play them with a player.
About the KAudioCreator error, are you in the optical group?
Offline
Group optical was the hint .
Thank you snow.
