Aiptek webcam displays weird double video

My Aiptek camcorder (model v5phl tihd) is producing some very odd output, and I can't figure out what it is. It's using the zr364xx module, and I'm on kernel 3.6.8-1 (systemd, if that matters). I only dusted it off today and decided to give it a try, so I can't say if this has been an issue before, just that it worked fine many years ago on that other OS. I grabbed an image with svv to illustrate the problem. Does anyone have an idea what my problem is, and what can be done to fix this?

Ps.: The wobbliness can probably be attributed to an unsteady hand, I didn't notice this before when the camera was sitting on my desk.
