Re: December 2012 Screenshots

How do you get the date/time vertical like that?

Also: Tamsyn is my favourite terminal font!  Thank you!

@scottfail, what font is that? tongue What's up, you weasly, theiving bastard. (inside joke) Sorry, I couldn't resist. Good to see you. Scott is the creator of the lovely Tamsyn Font, if you didn't know. Nice shot, btw!

Greetings, stlarch.  How nice to be introduced.  Good to see you as well, now that we've put our many differences behind us.  Incidentally, its FIAL (my actual, though unfortunate, last name), not FAIL.

The font is indeed Tamsyn.  Funny story:  I asked my wife (the font's namesake) what she thought of it the other day.  She guessed it was pretty readable, but found it "clunky".  Why I oughtta...

@ibrunton The vertical text is courtesy of ticker.  But if I'm honest, I really only trot it out for screenshots wink

Re: December 2012 Screenshots

I know it's Fial. I was just messin with ya. Another one of my awkward attempts at humor. They're kind of used to me here and just ignore me for the most part. tongue I basically ripped him off without even asking permission and then had the balls to ask for help, in which case he promptly handed me my ass and rightly so. Actually he was very nice about it. Not very tactful on my part. Lesson learned. But seriously, we do love the font here. It's definitely one of the most favored ones, as you can see in a lot of the screenshots.

I did change the thumbnail to the right size when i noticed it was wrong, as you can see i edited it just minutes after the original post. But it seems like you changed it at the same time. BTW, save the URL's next time. I'm not saving them so now i had to upload it again....

Re: December 2012 Screenshots

Here is mine.  Pretty much the same as before, except new wallpaper (got it from a guy in the November thread) and some new colors...

Clean

tZ2tncA

Dirty

tZ2tncw

rxvt-unicode, conky, vlc, rhythmbox, handbrake, pcmanfm

If anybody has any ideas for colors, I'd be glad to hear them, i'm kinda dumb when it comes to color coordinating  smile

The top dwm bar is: termsyn
The font in the terms is: montecarlo

The entry in my Xdefaults is:
URxvt*font:               -windows-montecarlo-medium-r-normal--11-110-72-72-c-60-microsoft-cp1252
