Hi,
I have been noticing this issue quite a lot lately (along with a bunch of other issues related to battery life and system freezes).
As the topic says, I suddenly get to GDM. All work lost, no error displayed - nothing. I traced it back to this point,

From the xorg logs.
I checked kernel logs, xorg logs and systemd journal. Nothing suspicious there. I have tried searching but could not find anything much.
I am running this on a thinkpad T420, i5 2540, 4G RAM, Intel HD3000 graphics. 64 bit version of Arch. System updated (and rebooted) to latest kernel and video drivers as well.
