Cannot connect to wifi after arch-chroot

Hello, I've started to install arch linux dual boot with my WIndows 7.
In the beggining I could connect to my WIFI nice with wifi-menu. But after I have done arch-chroot and pacman -S wireless_tools wpa_supplicant wpa_actiond dialog
wifi-menu won't connect to my network.

My network uses wpa security. When wifi-menu fails I get this message:

CONNECTING FAILED
Do you want to keep the generated progile ('wlan0-*****')?

I have always answered no.

Thank you all for help.

Re: Cannot connect to wifi after arch-chroot

Did you reboot?During my install before I set up wired/wireless I had to "sudo dhcpcd" to bring up network after every reboot.Once it was set thing worked fine.

Re: Cannot connect to wifi after arch-chroot

I'm not sure, but you shouldn't need to reconnect after arch-chrooting while still installing, should you?

@cfr:
You don't. Maybe that's why it's failing. Since he ran pacman to download packages after chrooting, we know he's already connected.

Unless he also has a wired connection...

But if the wireless was working before chroot, you are correct -- the link should already be established.

Re: Cannot connect to wifi after arch-chroot

I've had this problem happen to me a couple times as well. The first time it happened, I gave up and walked away. A few minutes later, the connection was working in the chroot environment. The next time it happened, I just waited some time and soon the connection was working again.

I realize this is a non-technical answer and it may sound silly, but that's been my experience.
