I am a newbie to Arch Linux but I've been using Ubuntu for a good 3 years now. I've just finished installing arch onto my netbook and went to suspend it. Once I opened the lid the HDD spun for a few seconds but the display never woke.
I had this problem when Ubuntu was using the 3.0 kernel but it was resolved in the kernels following. The problem is identical from what I can see but I don't understand why it would come back in a later kernel?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
