icons for starter bar

Hi, when I try to configure the icon for each item of starter bar gdesklet, I choose directories containing icons but all the files (xpm, png) herein are in gray, and it's impossible to select anyone of them from file manager? why? It's definitively not a problem of permissions, I've tried also in copying that files to my home dir. I use gnome 2.12 and starter bar 0.31.3

Ok, easy to fix because it isn't a problem just that gnome changed things around. You are going to opn the full path to where the icons are and hit enter. Better explained: put the directori to your icons in the box where it usually says /usr/share/pixmaps and then hit enter. Ex. /home/kensai/icons and then hit enter. The icons will load.
