My recent switch to systemd causes cups to cease to work. In the print dialog of Okular, I can find the remote printer listed. In the print dialog of Evince, I cannot find the remote printer. In either case, after pressing print, nothing happened. I found the following log in /var/log/cups/access.log.
localhost - - [11/Dec/2012:11:09:05 +0100] "POST /printers/jawlensky HTTP/1.1" 200 247 Create-Job client-error-not-found
localhost - - [11/Dec/2012:11:25:50 +0100] "POST /printers/jawlensky HTTP/1.1" 200 247 Create-Job client-error-not-found
Any idea what is wrong? Thanks.
EDIT:
I have got the problem solved. But I could not remember what exactly solved it. I tried several things, including disabling cups.service, cups.path, cups.socket, reinstalling cups, libcups, cups-filters, running avahi-discover and avahi-browse once, and renabling cups.service. I am not very sure which is the cure, probably running avahi-discover and avahi-browse.
