pyogre

Father has a package for Ogre3D in AUR (Though its out of date by one). I just stumbled across the pyogre bindings:

http://www.ogre3d.org/wiki/index.php/PyOgre

PyOgre is very much alpha; I'd like to use it but I doubt I can yet. From what I've ready, the svn version is much more stable than the latest release.

I'd like to play with this, but I'm not asking anybody to build it. However, if you're interested in playing with it too, now that you know about it... i'd like to see the package. :-D

Re: pyogre

I'm having trouble installing pyogre -- I've managed to install ogre using the aur package and modifying the PKGBUILD to grab the latest version (1.2.1 at this time)... only thing is ogre won't build if I have cegui installed (also from the aur, version 0.5rc1)... so I install ogre without cegui and the ogre demos seem to run fine (apart from cg ones my old video card can't handle), but... I can't seem to install pyogre -- the swig/gcc instructions in the docs/build_linux.txt throw lots of warnings/errors.

I too would like to see a pyogre package big_smile
