XBMC doesn't render properly (looks "corrupted")

Hey guys, I've asked this question over in the XBMC forums, but thought I would ask here too.

When running the XBMC application it looks like this: http://i.imgur.com/cKhng.png (It should look like this). I've also seen it "almost" start up correctly, like this: http://i.imgur.com/BiC2R.jpg

I'm using the xf86-video-ati driver for my AMD A6 APU. Here is the output from glxinfo: https://gist.github.com/4293851 and the output from xbmc.log: https://gist.github.com/4292233

The strange thing is it will sometimes display everything fine. But it only seems to work when I run it a little while after X has started. If I include `exec xbmc` in my xinitrc it will always look like this. However if I just start a window manager (such as dwm) and then wait and start XBMC it will (sometimes) display fine, other times it still renders incorrectly.

Hoping someone might recognize this issue.

Thanks

I get the same problem and have for a while, since driver updates. I can get mine to load if I downgrade ati-dri and libgl from 9.x to 8.x versions.

I solved this by switching to the proprietary Catalyst drivers.

Thanks for registering to give me a heads up though, I appreciate it!
