Broadcom BCM57766 Ethernet on Mac Mini 6,2

I've been slamming my head into a wall for the past 3 days on this one.  I finally got Arch installed with the 2012 12 01 media booting with rEFInd and Grub-x86_64-efi.  I am able to use the wifi chip with b43-firmware and the Apple USB ethernet adapter out of the box.  The built-in ethernet is giving me no end of trouble, though.  It's supposedly supported with the Tigon3 drivers (tg3) but when I modprobe them I get nothing from dmesg and ip link list doesn't show it.  I've been through every thread I can find on the matter and they all point to compiling from Broadcom's source at http://www.broadcom.com/support/etherne … esktop.php but this throws errors for missing asm/system.h.  That makes sense since that was deprecated for 3.0 and removed after 3.2.  I'm running the 3.6.10-1-ARCH kernel.  There's a thread over on the Ubuntu forums about commenting that line out (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2078320) but unlike their cases, I am now showing issues with implicitly declared functions for tg3_full_lock/unlock.  I'm assuming this has something to do with the latest kernel dropping support for functions and Broadcom just being far behind on the changes as the drivers are from October.  Does anyone have any suggestions for this, other than dropping back to an older kernel?  I'd like to be able to just run pacman -Syu on a regular interval without paying special attention to this corner case.

Re: Broadcom BCM57766 Ethernet on Mac Mini 6,2

I found the same BCM57766 in a new iMac; it seems 3.9-rc1 contains the required patches for the tg3 network driver. I'm building 3.9-rc5 right now to see if it works.

edit: yes it works fine!
