I have a ThinkPad T61 with a nVidia Quadro NVS 140M (I use nouveau with it) and I got a regression a few weeks back (I don’t know which upgrade caused it because I don’t play the incriminated games often): the mouse pointer goes crazy when I play 3D games, I move it a little, then it moves somewhere else on its own. I’ve tried disabling the touchpad, using only the touchpad, the nipple mouse, or a USB mouse, and it still doesn’t work normally.
It happens in openarena, urbanterror and assaultcube-reloaded.
I have no idea where to look and my Web searches haven’t returned anything relevant to this issue. Could it be nouveau? Something else in the kernel? X.org?
If you only have a clue about what upgrade could have caused it, it’s great.

Solution:
Out of curiosity, I launched a game in a separate X server in it worked perfectly, so I tried to see which process in the existing X server could cause the problem, and it was unclutter, I just had to kill it to make things go back to normal.
