Kernel Panic when installing packages.

I am trying to install Arch on an old PC with 256 MB PC133 RAM from an ARCH_201211 install cd.
As I have a laptop with arch installed I tried doing it with pacserve.

I looked at the pacstrap file and created the correct directories and then did pacsrv -Sy -r /mnt base base-devel.

After about 10 minutes I get a kernel panic on screen and the caps lock and scroll lock lights on my keyboard are flashing.

The first lines that are still on my screen are:

[ 2029.587975] Buffer I/O error on device dm-0, logical block 978
[ 2029.704651] Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init! exitcode=0x0000000b

After that it just does a call trace.

Re: Kernel Panic when installing packages.

Just an educated guess but it might be a bad disk.
