Programming new shutdown applet on Cinnamon (systemd related)

Hello everyone,

I have installed Cinnarch, and I wanted to use the shutdown applet but its code doesn't work if you are using systemd. So I planned to program the new code to be compatible with systemd, but I don't know how to do it. The code that doesn't work is the following:

$ dbus-send --system --print-reply --system --dest=org.freedesktop.ConsoleKit /org/freedesktop/ConsoleKit/Manager org.freedesktop.ConsoleKit.Manager.Stop

So, what would be the code for shutdown with systemd.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Programming new shutdown applet on Cinnamon (systemd related)

I am afraid there may be differences between Cinnarch and Arch in this regards.  As such there are no guarantees an advice from Arch users would be of help.  Even more importantly, we cannot run run risk that an advice that is relevant to Cinnarch would not be applicable, or worse, wrong when it comes to Arch Linux users and the members of these forums.

That is why we do not provide support for other operating systems

Please ask this question on the Cinnarch forums.
