Help configuring ASUS Xonar D1

Hi,

So I've recently installed Arch, everything is up and running but the sound card (I've never been good solving audio drivers/ALSA issues).

So I have two issues:

[1] The microphone does not work at all.

[2] This one is kind of hard to describe, but I'll do my best (it might actually be related to the volumeicon); when I adjust the volume using the volumeicon, the volume doesn't "linearly scale" with the master channel in alsamixer. Let me give some figures to make my point clearer:

- At 54% in volume icon, the value in alsamixer is 0 (so its muted);
- At 95% in volume icon, the value in alsamixer is 74;
- At 98% in volume icon, the value in alsamixer is 88;
- At 100% in volume icon, the value in alsamixer is 100;

So it (de)scales very quickly, in an interval of 54-100, instead of 1-100.

As I said this might be related to the volumeicon software.

There is actually a third issue:

[3] The sound is crap. And low. My ears actually hurt after listening to music for a while, because it is really low and I have to crank it up to (almost) max, and it gets really distorted.

Hope you guys can help me out, my guess is it is driver related, or .asoundrc related... I've fiddled with my .asoundrc a bit but it did not help... I'll leave my current .asoundrc here anyway:

It is probably messed up, but the sound was as bad before as it is now...
