Spell Checking in Gummi LaTeX Editor

Hi everyone!

I'm having trouble getting the spell checking to work in Gummi LaTeX editor. I installed gummi and hunspell-de from the repos. I can select the language in the options and have enabled spellchecking but my mistakes don't get highlighted. Did I miss something? Any Ideas on how to get it to work?

Re: Spell Checking in Gummi LaTeX Editor

necro bump but it is the first thing that pops up in google

pacman -Sv gtkspell
pacman -Sv aspell-en (or whatever)

Edit, Preferences, Misc, Spell Check Lang (set it)
then
Document, Enable Spell Checking

Re: Spell Checking in Gummi LaTeX Editor

Thanks for your reply.

In the meantime I have used a different LaTeX editor, but I have looked back into this now. For some reason it seems spell checking does not work if aspell-en (or probably any English spell checker) is not installed even though one for an other language is available and set to be used (German in my case). This behavior looks like a bug to me, or can someone explain a reason for that?

EDIT: Fixed a typo, which caused the post to be ununderstandable...
