no problems with gcc 4.0.2 and kernel compilation ????

download and install kde3.4.2 and amarok, but amarok need taglib and taglib ggc4, then install gcc4, and build a kernel(archck6) but i see a lot of error in the compilation(with makepkg), so back to gcc3.4.2 and compile and not errors, the question is, is dangerous compile the kernel with gcc4.0.2 o is normal.

That sucks...I was like that for a while...I had to download packages to my girlfriends IPod from campus and bring them home...

Re: no problems with gcc 4.0.2 and kernel compilation ????

I just compile a kernel with gcc4 and the archck7 patch. I crapped out on the module for my DVB card but I hardly use it anyway so I just disabled it and it compiled cleanly. I'm going to take a closer look at that error when I get some free time but for now, it's given me a working kernel at least smile
