Hello everyone. I am having issues with the built-in card reader in my HP dv6t-7000. I know that this kind of question has been asked before, but I am unable to find a solution. I am new to Arch, but have used almost ALL other distros. Arch is the first Linux on my laptop. Now down to the details.

according to lsmod the module is active.

Okay. Now this is serious. I can just switch back to Windows for the card reader, but now my USB 3.0 ports (3 out of the 4 usb ports) are not working. AT ALL. Someone please help

I had a problem with a different model Ricoh card reader on a Gazelle Pro Laptop. I found a driver that worked for my case, it might work for yours as well:

My USB 3.0 ports are still not working. the rts5229 module keeps being loaded. the rts_bpp module won't get loaded. What should I do?
