I installed pcmanfm-mod-nohal from AUR in order to be able to use keyboard shortcuts. (The original pcmanfm only accepts one shortcut, alt+< or alt+>, whatever you use first after you start it.) It worked well first time I started it, but after some hibernation or reboot it refused to start, command just hangs. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, but no success. This is strange, so please just drop a supporting line. :-)

Have you considered using SpaceFM instead? You can change the keys for all the various menu items.

Thank you for your answer. Is spacefm as fast as pcmanfm? lxde configuration would stay with pcmanfm? I'm just trying to find my way.

So how do I change the background color of spacefm?
spacefm is too rich for me, I removed it. It also crashed once, maybe due to a conflict with pcmanfm, which was also open. (I opened Preferences.)

The keyboard shortcut keys for pcmanfm suddenly started to function properly. I absolutely have no idea what did I do to make that happen.
