Hi all,
after an upgrade my DVB-S Device suddenly stopped working. I figured out, that the driver seems to be loaded normally but no firmware is uploaded to the device.
Here's the dmesg:
dvb-usb: found a 'Terratec Cinergy S2 USB HD' in warm state.
dw2102: su3000_power_ctrl: 1, initialized 0
dvb-usb: will pass the complete MPEG2 transport stream to the software demuxer.
DVB: registering new adapter (Terratec Cinergy S2 USB HD)
dvb-usb: MAC address: ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
DS3000 chip version: 0.192 attached.
dw2102: Attached DS3000!
usb 2-4: DVB: registering adapter 0 frontend 0 (Montage Technology DS3000/TS2020)...
input: IR-receiver inside an USB DVB receiver as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.7/usb2/2-4/input/input14
dvb-usb: schedule remote query interval to 150 msecs.
dw2102: su3000_power_ctrl: 0, initialized 1
dvb-usb: Terratec Cinergy S2 USB HD successfully initialized and connected.
dw2102: su3000_power_ctrl: 1, initialized 1
In my opinion the device should have been detected in cold state and a line showing that firmware gets uploaded should occur, like it does for my DVB-T PCTV 73e.
dvb-usb: found a 'Pinnacle PCTV 73e' in cold state, will try to load a firmware
dvb-usb: downloading firmware from file 'dvb-usb-dib0700-1.20.fw'
dib0700: firmware started successfully.
Since the device work until the last upgrade I made, I think it may be a bug.
May someone can help me out?
//edit: One more thing I forgot about... Each time I try do tune the device I get one single line in dmesg, saying:
dw2102: su3000_power_ctrl: 1, initialized 1
//edit2:
I've managed to get the device run again, by first starting it in Windows visualized in a Virtual Box; disconnecting it from the VB and starting kaffeine. It now should work until it gets unplugged...
However, now I know that it must be a problem of my OS
regards,
gnux
//FIXED: was fixed in the Kernel
