No ACPI close lid event on NP900X4C samsung laptop

Hi,

I want set suspend mode when lid is closed. I alredy tried with no success systemd (alone), acpid and xfce4-power-manager (disabling systemd as explained here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Sy … management )

However, dmesg shows nothing when I close and open lid, maybe something related about this bug report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour … bug/986724

Apparently the lid event was recognized after boot as dmesg shows

...

I don't know what to do. Even understand what happens.

Yes: as I understand it this functionality is part of the samsung_laptop module that, should be UEFI booting, you definitely don't want loading...

Re: No ACPI close lid event on NP900X4C samsung laptop

got the same issue now.
strange thing is: yesterday lid detection worked and I didnt change anything. Today it just doesnt. Not only the lid stuff stoped working but the keyboard backlit stopped too.
