Bumblebee - Issue when resuming from suspension

Hello, I recently installed Bumblebee 3.0 with bbswitch and NVidia propretary drivers (I was not able to let nouveau work) on my asus u36jc. Everything seems to work except suspension.

The issue happens when recovering from suspension: the screen stays black, trying to switch to another tty, to change brightness or switch on the back light with Fn+f7 do not help. I need to hard switch off.

I tried

sudo systemctl stop bumblebeed.service

before suspend and I was able to resume correctly, so the problem should be right bumblebee or one of its subcomponents.

Anybody sharing the same issue? Any idea?

Re: Bumblebee - Issue when resuming from suspension

The subcomponent that is involved here is bbswitch. Can you reproduce it with:

sudo systemctl stop bumblebeed
sudo modprobe bbswitch
sudo tee /proc/acpi/bbswitch <<<OFF
cat /proc/acpi/bbswitch # should say OFF, if not check your dmesg

Then suspend/resume.

What kernel version? Did you have the problem before?
