i run wine for some old win32 progs instead of always rebooting to winXPP (that costs about 2 min reboottime (5'' to shutdown and 1'55'' to start winXPP))
/usr/etc/wine/config is set right and wine worked fine till a update yesterday
problem:
now:
[damir@Asteraceae cd]$ wine Start.exe
wine: cannot open /home/damir/.wine : No such file or directory
what should be in ~/.wine ? a copy of "config"?
thanx in advance

wineserver: could not save registry branch to /usr/etc/wine/system.reg : Permission denied
what group or permissions does wine need for non-root users under arch?
Off to using Peanut and Slackware, no hard feelings but I need my CD to burn, PDA and scanner to connect and arch won't do it.

wine needs a group that's the same as the user trying to do the write. Why not make one and call it wine? The wine directory could have a group of 'wine' and be group writeable.
