Running Arch in Virtualbox

So I decided to give arch a try in virtualbox under mint, just to see if it was in my interest to switch to arch.

However, after setting up the latest virtualbox and creating a VM for Arch and booting the most recent ISO, I was thrown into a shell, as something had failed to load.  Upon closer inspection, the only two errors I could find with the boot from the iso were these:

[0.0366] Failed to access perfctr msr (MSR c0010004 is 0)

then later

[5.311] microcode: failed to load file amd-ucode/microcode_amd.bin

What's going on here? Is there some non-standard trick to getting Arch to run under Vbox?
