[solved] webcam not working since update to kernel 3.7.7

After the last kernel update to 3.7.7 I am experiencing problems with the webcam which does not work.

I get the following message in dmesg:

[12338.008862] uvcvideo: Failed to resubmit video URB (-27).
[12338.008884] uvcvideo: Failed to resubmit video URB (-27).
[12338.008896] uvcvideo: Failed to resubmit video URB (-27).
[12338.008905] uvcvideo: Failed to resubmit video URB (-27).
[12338.008914] uvcvideo: Failed to resubmit video URB (-27).

The camera worked fine with 3.7.6 and in general with the 3.7 kernels.

EDIT: it seems to have been a small regression in kernel 3.7.7. With the new kernel 3.7.8 it works again.

Have you tried downgrading the kernel and seeing if it restores functionality?

Thanks you for your answer. No, not yet. I never did it, but it I will try it.
