Unable to boot custom kernel, standard repo works fine

My question is basically - why?
I use Linux-CK from the AUR as my normal kernel, but after updating it last night it no longer boots. It errors out with "Unable to find root device" and then the UUID. The same UUID works fine on the core repo kernel. I've tried re-running mkinitcpio and grub-mkconfig, though I haven't tried disabling UUID's and remaking the mkconfig (which would probably not boot anyways since I use UUID's in my fstab)

Anyways, for now I've been booting using the core kernel, instead of linux-ck, but I'd like to get things working again.

Thanks,
Xaero

Use lsinitcpio to compare the contents of the two init images.

Re: Unable to boot custom kernel, standard repo works fine

Have you tried the CK kernel from Graysky's repo?  If that one works, then at least you know it has something to do with your configuration. Also if you don't have multiple disks, you could try using the /dev/sdXY nomenclature.

I think that the suggestion above to use lsinitcpio is a good idea as well. Probably good to know exactly what is going into that initamfs.
