I switched to systemd recently, and the fans now spin up almost arbitrarily. I've read the wiki article on fan control and setup lm_sensors, but there is no fan listed on that list. I can't figure out what is controlling the fan, as it's seemingly not realted to CPU usage or temperature. I'm running a Clevo P150EM, with an Intel Core i7 and AMD7970M. The 7970M is not being used, as switching does not work. I'm using the open source intel drivers for the Intel 4000HD. Care to shed any light on the topic?
