RANDR 1.5? - Release Date? - DisplayLink

Hello,

I have been waiting on hotplug support for DisplayLink USB.  I have seen these links and it looks like some work was done on this mid 2012.  Can anyone point me in the direction to where I can get this?

It looks like hotplug support is already enabled for displaylink in the xorg that arch runs atm but where is the userland xrandr to support it?

It's already there. xrandr-1.4 contains this stuff. Do a xrandr --help, and you'll see there's --setprovideroutputsource and --setprovideroffloadsink. I don't know how exactly to use this stuff though. Maybe you'll find something interesting on Dave Airlie's blog: http://airlied.livejournal.com

Thanks for the advice/man page info.  I am going to look when I get to the location that has the hardware.

Thanks for moving the post.  I was unsure where to put it.
