[SOLVED] Wine w/ EVE

I have an i686 install, and no custom kernel, and all -syyu update.

Linux homebox 3.7.10-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Feb 28 09:59:14 CET 2013 i686 GNU/Linux

Except wine 1.5.25-2 -- as I using wine 1.5.24-1 -- which has been running great for
playing EVE ONLINE.

Now when I updated to 1.5.25-1 it will not load the game (crash) [the log I can post later]
So I downgraded (from the ARM) back to 1.5.24-1 and all is good.
Then I see 1.5.25-2 and try that, and the same thing happens as with 1.5.25-1  -- crash.
[the log I can post later]

So has anyone had this issue?  How did you resolve it?

And does anyone know what really changed in wine 1.5.25-?  from 1.5.24-1

Any ideas, from any of you WINE gamers?

Re: [SOLVED] Wine w/ EVE

According to appdb there shouldn't be any issues with 1.5.25 compared to 1.5.24. Without any more information, it's hard to help you.
Also, there's nothing wrong with using an older wine version.

Question: Are you using wine with Eve Online, or just quoting the wine appdb?
As I saw the appdb myself.

I know some users out there play Eve Online with wine.. so I hope they come around and reply.

I may try 'rm -rf .wine' and try 1.5.25-x

Just thought before I did that someone had some hands on comments.

Re: [SOLVED] Wine w/ EVE

Quoting the appdb as said. It sounds like you're not using wine prefixes, which you really should be doing when an application requires additional settings.
Did you read the part about other crashes in 1.2.25 and how to fix it?

How I fixed it:  rm -rf .wine

then upgraded wine.

Set the d3x11 (disable)

And it works.

What I didn't have to do:

install anything using winetricks (like before),

SOLVED:
So it works now.

THANK YOU.
