Windows host, arch as guest, vmware, vmware-video, freeze

Hi everyone. I am quite new to arch and am trying to set it up under vmware player 5.0.2, running on a windows host.
I got gnome running whith the vesa driver - everything works finde. As soon as I install xf86-video-vmware and start X,  the video output freezes. I can see X Initialisind XKEYBOARD and so on, the last message ist Loading extension GLX. After that masse the output freezes. strg+alt+f1..2..3 etc do not work. Any ideas?

Play with mks.enable3d = "TRUE" in your .vmx file (use either TRUE or FALSE). Maybe it helps.

Edit: See this thread.
