Hi guys, i've recently had issues with my wireless connection, which randomly disappeared - the problem similar to this post: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=137643 and none of solutions i found helped me. It also produced backtrace similar to this one https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 10#p992410 in dmesg. And the problem is just going to appear more frequently.
But that's not this topic's subject.
Tired of that, I just switched to wired connection - hopefully, i'm using this notebook at home, primarily.
I disabled wi-fi by turning off the hardware switch and started watching youtube, then i've got panic.
lspci | grep -i net 03:00.0 Network controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter (PCI-Express) (rev 01) 05:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet controller (rev 06)
I had enlightenment17-svn installed.
Steps to reproduce:
-disable wifi with hw switch
-run a PC
-wait for enough time (btw, screen could still be lighting)
Then it says smth like process wpa_supplicant caused panic, and backtrace then.
huh, that is suddenly disappeared, I hope much it is because of upgrade to linux 3.8.4
