PGP key of Federico Cinelli missing from archlinux-keyring?

Upgrading gputils package:

(1/1) checking package integrity                                                                    [###########################################################] 100%
error: gputils: key "E2539214C6C11350" is unknown
:: Import PGP key C6C11350, "Federico Cinelli <cinelli.federico@gmail.com>", created 2012-11-30? [Y/n]

Why does it need to import the key? Should it have been provided by archlinux-keyring?

And eventually it will be. There's nothing to be concerned about when importing a key. It still needs to be trusted by the master keys in order for it to be accepted as a valid package signature.

Re: PGP key of Federico Cinelli missing from archlinux-keyring?

Now it has struck me too:

error: cantata: key "E2539214C6C11350" is unknown
:: Import PGP key , "Federico Cinelli <cinelli.federico@gmail.com>", created 2012-11-30? [Y/n] y
error: key "Federico Cinelli <cinelli.federico@gmail.com>" could not be imported
error: failed to commit transaction (invalid or corrupted package)
Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.

I tried the usual things:
- changed the mirror and -Syyu
- pacman-key --init
- pacman-key --refresh-keys
- pacman-key --populate archlinux
- pacman-key -u
Nothing helped until I removed cantata, now the update is through.

EDIT: Nothing solved...

But I cannot install cantata again at this point.

Re: PGP key of Federico Cinelli missing from archlinux-keyring?

New stuff came up. I tried installing cantata on another Arch box, it worked without trouble. Then I completely deleted the key files for pacman, recreated the keys, now the problem is also present on the other machine. You know… instead of magically going away on both machines.

As I have almost no clue about that gpg infrastructure: Does this happen on the key server or does pacman-key magically screw things up?

Re: PGP key of Federico Cinelli missing from archlinux-keyring?

For me the problem was that the key did not exist on the keyserver my system was asking. I solved the problem by specifying the mit pgp keyserver:

pacman-key -r E2539214C6C11350 --keyserver hkp://pgp.mit.edu:11371

Re: PGP key of Federico Cinelli missing from archlinux-keyring?

Nice, that means the key is missing on the default server of pacman-key.

Just in case somebody has the same problem, I just solved it by first upgrading the archlinux-keyring package before anything else.
