Gnome/Cinnamon desktop icons can't be disabled.

Hi.
Since some weeks ago, gnome and cinnamon always show the desktop icons, even when disabled in the gnome-tweak-tool and gconf.
They are all on the same spot and it looks pretty ugly, but i cant move them.
It also causes some bugs with the Catalyst drivers, (from what i've read)because cairo can't render the desktop in overview mode(in Nvidia doesn't happens).

Is there any known solution to this problem? Is there any more useful information i can provide?

Best regards

Read the wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Cinnamon

If you want to disable desktop rendering feature of nemo, then run the following command:

$ gsettings set org.nemo.desktop show-desktop-icons false

But if you want to keep this functionality, you can fix the background in overview mode by disabling background fade:

$ gsettings set org.nemo.desktop background-fade false

Thanks.
As it also happened in Gnome, i had only read the GNOME and Catalyst wiki pages. I should also have read that one hmm

Sorry for the inconvenience. smile
