anyway to control the power led?

Hi, this is more of a curiosity than a real question..

but is it possible to control the power led via software?

I can't find anything like "led" in /proc/

I found this man page: http://linux.die.net/man/8/alarms
would this IPMI stuff be of any help? if yes, what package should I install?  https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/?O=0&K=ipmi
I tried ipmitool from AUR, but it didn't have the 'alarm' command
