[SOLVED] qjackctl - unable to close it down

Hi
i can now start jack server. i then load the qjackctl to connect a virtual keyboard and ZynAddSubFX the open source software synthesizer.
i connect the the keyboard to the synth. i can then see visually that keyboard is linked to the synth, but hear no audio (some other problem).

the main problem is when i try to close qjackctl. unable to via the gui,

("it even says jack audio connection kit [default Active] is not  responding, it belongs to the application qjackctl process id 841 the   hostname=localhost - do you wish to terminate ")

via yes button it wont terminate, and via kill 841.

anyone know how to kill a program ?

edit:i created a ticket for this on the qjackctl sourceforge.

edit:
might have been a problem with JACK2 and qjackctl. i instead installed JACK2-DBUS, and then followed the steps on wiki. seems to close down now.
