I got an HP Deskjet 3512 a few weeks ago and I was able to get the wireless printing working fairly easily. I have been trying to get sane to see the scanner over the network. I have tried adding the ip to /etc/sane.d/net.conf and using various hp-* utilities with no luck. I can run hp-setup <ip> and get the printer but if I go in the toolbox, no devices are shown, either from cups or the hp-setup. Any advice is greatly appreciated, I have never tried to get a scanner working under linux before so I may be missing something fairly simple.
