Thinkpad E40 runs out quickly

Hi guys, I have a problem troubled me for a long time with my laptop Thinkpad E40: When I use Windows7 It'll run at least 2~3 hours but ONLY 1 hour with Linux(no matter Archlinux or Ubuntu),Is there someone same like me and how do you fix it?
