Should become very popular with the 5G iPod coming out soon.

(cvs pkgbuild would be nice, since there's no source for the current version, and the last stable before that seems to be kinda old)

And on the the video encoding front, is there any nice frontend to ffmpeg that allows for easy transcoding between various formats?

There's ffmpegx ( http://homepage.mac.com/major4/ ) but it isn't free, and it's for mac. Are there any good alternatives?

I wish. I just spent a few days looking for one. Doesn't look like it exists for linux. ffmpeg commandline is the only option.
