transmission-daemon download to ecryptfs encrypted home folder

I've just setup up ecryptfs with my home folder as well as auto mounting with PAM. Everything seems to be fine except transmission-daemon.

It runs obviously before I login, and the download folder is set to /home/user/Torrents. Once I login and go to the web interface, all torrents look like this:

If I add a torrent it begins to download to /home/user/Torrents but when I navigate there I don't see it.

What should I do to fix this, so that they only download when I'm logged in?

edit: in the meantime, I've changed the directory to the default download one and created a symlink in my home directory, but it means the torrents are unencrypted.
