Hallo fellow Archers,
I am positive that my question is perfectly google-able, but I guess that some of you have already researched this topic, which is why I want to try to lean on your expertise.
I am searching a device I can by which combines NAS[1] with MTP[2]. At best, it should be so vertsative that I can deploy my own web-service like ownCloud[3] on it. Because such an thing is expected to run 24/7 it would be nice to have a energy efficient device.
I am looking forward to your advice.
Thanks,
Wolfgang

Raspberry Pi maybe? You can install Arch on it.

Out of curiosity why MTP? Personally, I've found it to be pretty annoying to use on Linux...

@Saran: Sounds good. Thanks
@SolarBoyMatt: I am searching for a way to easy stream stuff over the network. Any ideas? I have no experience with MTP, just read about it.

RasberryPi (or other ARM device) with MiniDLNA for streaming.

Yeah, MTP is for connecting smartphones and MP3 players to PCs. You're looking for some sort of DLNA server (MiniDLNA, mediatomb, etc.) if you want media streaming.

Thank you guys! I will look into it.
