[SOLVED] PulseAudio 3.0 ignores internal mic

When I upgraded to pulseaudio 3.0 awhile ago, my internal microphone stopped working suddenly.  The system didn't even recognize that there was an internal microphone.  My chipset was an Intel chipset, so the mic should be supported (and it has been up until the other day when I noticed there was no mic).  Looks like PulseAudio 3.0 changed some things about internal mics and that change completely borked the internal mic for my machine.

From http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Softwar … Notes/3.0/

Downgrading to PulseAudio 2.1 fixed the issue.  My internal mic works fine now.
