Hi,
I have a same problem as posted here.
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=153697
I have clearly installed arch without any DM.
I have two desktop enviroments, cinnamon and lxde.
The problem as posted above have place when I try to start cinnamon first with startx.
If I first start lxde, than logout and start cinnamon everytching is ok.
I try to downgrade package as posted in topic above but without result.

Is there anything interesting in /var/log/Xorg.0.log or /var/log/everything.log?
Try switching to a different console (Ctrl+Alt+F2 and then log in) and viewing those log files immediately after doing a startx, so that you can see any interesting events at the bottom of the log files.

This is my Xorg.0.log
I don't have everytching.log
I can't to this trick with different console because everythching is made so fast (I use ssd drive) and when I try to swtich to another console after startx is too late.

this is probably also this bug: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/34756
this should be fixed with the next mesa release and can be worked around until then by disabling rc6 (see bug report).

I try to fix it with boot with option i915_enable_rc6=0 but without effect.
So I will wait for new version of mesa.

oops, the parameter mentioned in the bug report is actually wrong, it's i915.i915_enable_rc6=0 .
