Hi, today GPU temp has reached 93° celsius.
It's a nVidia 9500 GT, driver Nouveau, as the title says.
I already cleaned my PC from the dust ( last week, precisely), the temperature went to an avarage 52° from the 72° before the cleaning.
Current one, after rebooting:
[~] sensors 15:38:29
acpitz-virtual-0
Adapter: Virtual device
temp1: +27.0°C (crit = +75.0°C)
nouveau-pci-0100
Adapter: PCI adapter
fan1: 0 RPM
temp1: +92.0°C (high = +95.0°C, hyst = +3.0°C)
(crit = +105.0°C, hyst = +5.0°C)
(emerg = +135.0°C, hyst = +5.0°C)
coretemp-isa-0000
Adapter: ISA adapter
Core 0: +47.0°C (high = +74.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)
Core 1: +44.0°C (high = +74.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)If i remember correctly Nouveau driver got updated recently, anyone experiencing the same problem?
Or... Could it be an issue with the sensors?

It doesn't really address the problem, but have you tried using the proprietary driver?

Not yet, i wanted to be sure about what is causing this problem (if is just a messed output, or a real issue with the driver) before installing the prop. one, since here on KDE nVidia dri. worked bad last time.
Anyway, is there any other tool to monitor temperatures with Nouveau?
EDIT Have to quit for a while. Later i'll go for the proprietary driver then, if in the meantime no one post other solutions.

Id suggest you follow karol's advice.
There is a huge difference between Nouveau and proprietary drivers.
For real video cards always use prop drivers... for now.
Main workstation: HP-Pavilion G6-2005ax, AMD quad core trinity APU(devastator) with 7640 HD 512 MB radeon + 7670m 1GB Gddr3 dedicated, 240 gb zalman ssd, 8GB ddr 3 1600mhz, OS: Arch 2013, Ultimate 3.4 lite, Windows 8.

Nouveau runs anywhere from 10-20 degrees hotter consistently on my system (gpu runs at about 45-47c idle on nvidia proprietary driver). I just tested this out about a month or so again (I check nouveau out periodically to see how it's coming along). Although there is no reason for you to guess whether it is the sensors package or nouveau. Simply downgrade nouveau and see if you still have an issue.

Nouveau is reverse engineered from prop drivers and included in gallium and Amd supports opensource.
Gallium does nothing besides enable GPU hardware acceleration on linux...circuit control features like power saving and clock throttling are provided only by the proprietary drivers(same for AMD/Nvidia).
It'll be a long time before you can use open source code for beefy cards.
