Firefox starts very slow, `sys_page_size == 0' failed

when i run it from terminal i got this:

$ firefox                  

(process:1093): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_slice_set_config: assertion `sys_page_size == 0' failed

This bug is already reported and there seems to be no fix right now:

Got the same assertion but firefox works fine for me (yeah it starts slow, but that was always the case for me)
