pSX Segfaults

There is no way to make https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/psx/?setlang=en work with pulse audio.
here is the output of dmesg http://ix.io/61z;
and here if ran in a terminal http://ix.io/61z this is the output,
any ideas?

If I disable pulseaudio it works but in a termianl it doesn't stop to show the message "sound urderrun"

I just noticed I am running pSX v1.13 while pulseaudio is running!  I wonder what changed, could never have both these running in the recent past.  the pulseaudio mixer does not pick up pSX as an alsa-container, good thing you can change the volume internally with pSX.
